MEET OUR DIETITIAN
Susan Parlato, MS, RDN is a credentialed registered dietitian nutritionist. She earned her BS degree in Biology from Monmouth University and her MS in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Rutgers University and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She went on to earn her BS degree in Dietetics from the University of Northern Colorado and completed her dietetic internship through Morrison Healthcare where she specialized in school nutrition. Susan is also a certified Holistic Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and is a board-certified Holistic Health Practitioner through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Susan earned her AS degree in Exercise Science from Mercer County Community College and is a certified ACE personal trainer and AFFA certified group fitness instructor. She has worked in hospital-affiliated fitness and wellness centers for over 10 years where she has led one-on-one and group fitness training and has provided nutritional counseling for teens and adults for weight management, diabetes, food allergies, cardiac health, digestive health, eating disorders, and sports performance. As a Certified Natural Chef, she enjoys finding new and creative ways to lighten up dishes and to make healthy food delicious. Susan has taught many cooking classes for children, teens, and adults to help create an appreciation of whole foods and all-natural ingredients. Also, she worked at private practices where she has provided nutritional counseling and education for pre- and post- Bariatric surgery patients and has provided non-surgical weight loss education and support.
Passionate about fitness, food, and nutrition, Susan entered into the health and wellness field to help others learn to live happier and healthier lives through small lifestyle changes. She believes in a gentle, incremental approach to habit change and her fun, energetic nature can provide the support and encouragement you need to meet your health and fitness goals. No matter what your nutrition goals are, our dietitian Susan can help you get on the pathway to good health!
